When is the lifeboat’s five-year examination and release gear overhaul due?

The LIFEBOAT card “60 Monthly — Five-Year Examination and Release Gear Overhaul” (every 60 months) is due on 04.10.2031. It is ON_TRACK, and the Second Officer is responsible. It is a critical card.

The job needs a shore service, so I pulled the companion list without being asked. Two heavy jobs in one stop share one shore visit. …

The same answer, translated for this pageMT MRTANKER’s PMS has no card set up for the incinerator, so I cannot give a due date, a last-done date or a status for this ship. The catalog knows these jobs, but their cards are not set up on the ship. The office sets up cards from PMS Admin.

English versionAt 08:30 the vessel berthed at the Aliaga terminal. Immediately afterwards loading operations commenced. In the morning the monthly greasing of the deck crane was carried out. A new able seaman signed on.

WarningThe text records berthing at the Aliaga terminal at 08:30, and the day’s log shows no mooring or manoeuvring risk assessment recorded for this operation. Record the mooring/manoeuvring risk assessment for the berthing in the RAS module for this day, or check that an existing assessment was entered against the correct date.

WarningThe text records that loading commenced immediately after berthing, and the day’s log shows no cargo-operations risk assessment or cargo transfer permit recorded for this operation. Record the cargo-operations risk assessment and the relevant cargo transfer permit in the appropriate modules for this day, or check that existing records were entered against the correct date.

The same answer, translated for this pageYes, this has happened in the fleet before. On board MT MRTANKER, on 02.07.2026, the bow thruster could not be switched on. The fan in the bow thruster room did not start, and because the fan was not running, an interlock prevented the thruster from starting. Fuses, contactors and wiring were all in order; it finally turned out that the limit switch/pin that detects the closed fan flap was stuck in the “closed” position — the system believed the ventilation flap was shut, and was protecting the fan. Once the pin had been freed by hand, cleaned and lubricated, the fan and the thruster ran again. The lesson: if the thruster does not start, check the fan and the interlocks first. …

Η γεννήτρια έκτακτης ανάγκης δεν ξεκινά με την πρώτη προσπάθεια και η μίζα γυρίζει αδύναμα. Έχει ξανασυμβεί αυτό στον στόλο;

The same answer, translated for this pageYes — the archive holds a lesson that fits exactly. On MT MRTANKER, on 01.10.2026, during monthly maintenance the start test was done with the charger disconnected: the emergency generator did not start on the first attempt and the starter motor turned weakly. The cause was a damaged cell in battery No. 2, which stayed hidden as long as the weekly tests were done with the charger connected. The battery was replaced and three successful starts followed with the charger disconnected; the crew’s lesson was that start tests must always be done with the charger disconnected.

Your language

Ask in English, and the answer comes in English. Ask in German, and it comes in German. Ask in Greek, and it comes in Greek. In the Consultant, the PMS Wiki, Lessons Learned and Ask this document, the question alone decides. The Documents and Certificates Wiki write in the language of the document, so the words can be compared with the page, and set a translation of each quote beside them.

Write in your own language. No more language barrier.

Daily Work

The officer writes the day in any language. Agentic Check returns an English version of the whole text, with the original kept tidy beside it.

PMS

Write “What was done” in any language. Draft with PMS Agent returns a maintenance record in maritime English, and leaves a blank wherever the job asks for a figure the note does not give.

Lessons Learned

Tell the story in any language. It is translated into plain maritime English, the language of the fleet’s archive.

HSEQ

A young officer may hold back from a near-miss report: is this really one, and how do I say it in English? Now there is a helper built for exactly this. The report can start in any language. Check with AI says what kind of event it is and rephrases it in maritime English, recording what the ship can fix, never who to blame. The writer stays free to send the original words, and nobody has to stay out of the safety process.

Company notices

The office writes a notice in any language. Agentic Assist returns the same instruction in professional English.

Every answer, with its source.AI under your command.

Documents

Ask the company’s library in your own words. The answer names the document, the section and the page. When the passages hold nothing, it says so.

Certificates

Ask the ship’s certificates the same way, with the same citation under every answer.

PMS

Ask one ship’s maintenance plan: how a job is done, what else falls due with it. The answer cites the cards it rests on.

Lessons Learned

Ask what the fleet has already lived through. The answer cites the lessons it comes from.

Analytics

The Consultant answers the office’s questions about the fleet from the fleet’s own records.

From paper to a draft you check.Read by the agent, checked by a person.

Certificates

A scan with no text is read page by page. The scan itself is never touched, and the reading is marked as machine-read. From then on, a certificate is no longer a file in a folder. It is alive: the Master asks, and it answers.

Voyage

A terminal’s or charterer’s time sheet becomes a list of proposed events. The ship reads them before anything reaches the voyage.

Typed by hand, the Time Sheet works like a compiler: a line that does not fit is called out under the row, before it is saved. No agent at work here, these are the screen’s own rules. Events that belong together find each other, and a line typed between two rows brings its other half with it. Date and time come suggested, and Tab walks you along the row. Years of Excel habit are back at work.

Lojistik

A supplier’s invoice, even a phone photo of it, becomes a draft of the invoice card. A ship’s list in any shape becomes request lines, and a company pay table becomes one line per person.

From the records to a first draft.Drawn from the record, and yours to correct.

Daily Work

Agentic Assist writes a short draft of the day from what the ship recorded. It is added under your own text, and you can change it.

Risk Assessment

An assessment becomes the minutes of the toolbox talk, in English and in one of 24 other languages, which the officer picks. The officer corrects them. English serves the industry well as its shared language. In safety-critical work, though, nothing replaces the confidence a person’s mother tongue gives.

PMS

Keep doing the work you already do. When a finished job shows a problem and how it was fixed, a lesson is drafted quietly. Safety culture, the flow of knowledge across the fleet and the sharing of experience keep growing, with no extra work for the crew. All that is left is a check by the right specialist in the office, and only what they approve joins Lessons Learned.

TMSA Tanker version

One indicator’s numbers and records become a report the office can send: how the number was computed, and from what.

A second look, never a block. It tells. It does not forbid.

Daily Work

Most companies already ask for a daily work report. Here it stops being a chore: Agentic Check holds the officer’s text up against the ship’s own log, answers with a list of advice, and points to a record that seems forgotten.

Lojistik

A company’s buying rules can outgrow what one person can hold in mind. Write them in your own language, with no coding: your language is now your programming language. A rule check reads each request against them and tells the approver. The approver decides.

HSEQ

On a recorded near-miss, the office gets a second classification and a draft of the preventive action, to adopt or to leave.

Lean by design.Only what the question needs.

Instructions

Each agent is handed only the instructions for its own job. The Consultant adds a common base, and code picks the module instructions a question needs, at most three, before the model is asked.

Records

Most agents do not search at all: what they need arrives with the question. The Consultant, which does search, sees at most 50 rows in one read. When there are more, it is told so and counts them in the database instead.

Documents

A document is read once, on upload. After that a search finds the best passages, and a question reads only those, so a growing library does not make a question dearer.

Exact words

When a document is cut into passages, the model never writes its text. It marks where a passage begins and ends, and code copies the words. Every quote in an answer can be opened on its page and compared.

Provider

The AI provider is a choice, not a commitment. If the first fails or hangs, the same question goes to the second.

Testing

The first agents had to pass their tests on a small model on our own computer, where a loose instruction shows at once. Today each of the 30 agents has its own set of at least ten test questions, and thousands of test runs are on record.

Your expertise stays at the helm.

Every agent in the system is an adviser. None of them approves, signs or closes anything; a person does.

The numbers on the Analytic Dashboard are computed by code, with no AI involved.
