No program to keep
There is no program on the ship to install, update or send a technician for.
Built for the link a ship really has: slow, shared, and dropping without warning.

You do not need an expensive or special computer. PIRION works from any computer that runs a current browser.
Specially optimized for Google Chrome and Apple Safari.
A button you may not press stays on the screen. Press it, and a short message says why and who can take the step.
Where a mark is picked, it is picked from boxes a thumb can hit. On a narrow screen, rows stack instead of running off the side.
The application's files stay in the browser, and the screens of your work are fetched quietly in the background. The first screens are asked for together, not one after another.
Text travels compressed, and lists that rarely change are asked for rarely.
A screen opened within the last half hour comes back from memory at once, then refreshes.
A long list draws only part of its rows and adds more as you scroll. On the Due list, filtering happens in the browser, without asking the server again.
On photo fields, a large camera JPEG is redrawn smaller before it leaves the ship. Papers an agent has to read keep their full size.
An upload shows how far it has got, in percent and in megabytes. If no byte moves for a minute, it is tried again.
When the link drops during a save, the same save is tried again by itself. The screen says "Connection is unstable — still trying to save…", and a Stop button stays beside it.
When the save arrived but the answer was lost on the way back, the server recognises the repeat and returns its first answer. No second record is written.
A form keeps its draft number through a reload or an expired session. If the first save had landed, the person is told: "Your first save had already arrived".
When the link drops and a request to an agent is sent again, the server recognises the repeat and goes back to the first run. The agent does not run twice, so nothing more is spent.
